Lemony Puff Pastry Cones

Dear Reader,

August and September are always busy months, filled with birthdays, including mine, my husband's, my mom's and my husband's best friend who is born on the same day as he. So, due to this, last week was filled with sweets. Due to making something special for my husband, I made some pastry cones for his friend's birthday party of 16 people. I tell you what, preparing food for 16 people as very stressful for me, and when I did it, I believed that I could do pretty much anything.

Anyway, this is what I made...

Puff Pastry Cones
(1 pastry packet makes 12 to 16 cones)
(Filling makes up to 60 cones)

Healthy Chicken Burrito Filling!

Dear Reader,

I generally do not like meat, but on numerous occasion, I will crave ground meat. It's the weirdest thing. I love sausages, and minced meat, and if allowed to, I could eat it for breakfast, lunch and supper. But, alas, since I am on a weigh-loss journey with these recipes, I have to say that keeping within the Metabolic Balance rules, i.e. 1 type of protein per meal, I have had to introduce spices to add depth of flavour that can sometimes be found by mixing proteins.

It will be up to you whether you add cheese on your burrito, whether you you eat it with gauc, and add things like plain yoghurt which some people do. Also, this recipe is designed to fill you up without missing the required amount of veggies and protein in your meal. Also, it is up to you whether you eat this with a tortilla, or like a good healthy person, whether your tortilla is lettuce or just with 10g of rye bread.
