Cauliflower and Green Beans

Dear Reader,

Another easy and delicious recipe I made today is for dinner or lunch. Because I have a limited diet with Metabolic Balance, and strict rules to follow, I can not cook what I normally would make. So, I am using my cooking experience to make Metabolic Balance fun and delicious.

This recipe will go with any protein you want, whether it is beef, chicken, or fish. It's a lovely way to compliment your protein. I will eat this with ham today. You can have it alone (vegetarian) also.

Cauliflower and Green Beans (serves 2)


10g Green Onions
50ml Tomato Purée
100g Green Beans
130g Cauliflower
20ml Coconut Oil
0.5 clove Garlic
Ginger (equal amount as garlic)
0.5 tsp Garam Masala
0.5 tsp Coriander Powder
A pinch of Cumin Seeds
0.5 tsp Turmeric
0.5 tsp Curry Powder
Salt and Pepper to taste


To a medium heat pan add coconut oil and let it melt. Add green onions, garlic and ginger to oil and sauté until soft, wilted and translucent. Add spices and seasoning and stir until most7all of the oil is absorbed. Add tomato Purée and stir. Add 1 tablespoons of water and stir it in. Add cauliflower and Green beans and turn the heat to low. Cover the pan with a lid and let the veggies cook for 2 minutes. Stir the veggies and let them be covered with the tomato sauce and cover the pan again until veggies are cooked and al dente.

Enjoy this quick meal with an option of 10g of rye bread, and a fruit to make this meal extra satisfying.
